Language & etymology
What the name means.
Origen refers to the early Christian teacher, not a biblical person or divine title. The Greek name’s etymology is disputed; “born of the heights” should not be asserted as certain. Scripture here supports reflection on study, not endorsement of all his teachings.
Isopsephy
The numeric value.
Omega 800 + Rho 100 + Iota 10 + Gamma 3 + Epsilon 5 + Nu 50 + Eta 8 + Sigma 200 = 1176
Numeric value is a traditional interpretive practice; it is not the word’s etymology and does not establish doctrine.
Greek character
A devotional reflection.
These are Greek letters and traditional numeric values. Paleo-Hebrew does not apply to this Greek spelling; the spiritual reflection comes from the accompanying Scripture, not letter pictures.
