Language & etymology
What the name means.
El means God or mighty one. The origin of Shaddai is debated; “Almighty” is the traditional biblical rendering. Scripture uses the title when God promises covenant fruitfulness and sufficiency.
Gematria
The numeric value.
El: Aleph 1 + Lamed 30 = 31; Shaddai: Shin 300 + Dalet 4 + Yod 10 = 314; total 345
Numeric value is a traditional interpretive practice; it is not the word’s etymology and does not establish doctrine.
Paleo-Hebrew character
A devotional reflection.
Because Shaddai’s word history is debated, this pictorial meditation should not be treated as proof of its meaning.
