Language & etymology
What the name means.
Theos is the principal Greek noun for God or a deity. In the New Testament it commonly names the one God of Israel, including in John’s opening confession about the Word.

Theos is Greek, so Paleo-Hebrew analysis does not apply. The Greek letters are shown in their own alphabetic tradition.
